The Best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sharing my all-time favourite recipe for the sweetest, chewiest oatmeal chocolate chip cookies... Enjoy!

Ingredients:

- 1 cup butter (softened)

- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 3/4 cup brown sugar

- 2 eggs

- 2 teaspoons vanilla

- 2 cup rolled oats

- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar using a mixer.

  3. When creamy texture has been reached, add in eggs and vanilla. Whip until fluffy and well mixed.

  4. Incorporate dry ingredients (flour, baking powder + soda, salt, rolled oats) to the bowl slowly and mix well until dough is formed.

  5. Add the chocolate chips and fold into the dough. I like to allow my dough to chill/firm in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before baking.

  6. Scoop dough onto a non-stick or lined pan in your desired size cookies.

  7. Bake 13-14 minutes until cooked through. Allow cookies to slightly cool before serving.
