Hi all! This past Thanksgiving I made this fall-themed charcuterie board for a collaboration I'm involved in with a local photographer - it turned out exactly how I envisioned so I figured I'd share with you all.
Here's my step-by-step process of creating this delicious, seasonal charcuterie board:
First off: Start with a neutral-coloured board. I love this light-toned one I picked up from Homesense - they have the best charcuterie boards hands-down! Next, I picked up these adorable, mini white pumpkins from Farmboy and placed them on the board.. Try not to place them too perfectly spread out - it's nice to scatter them a little. Once your pumpkins are in place, choose which dips, nuts, or spreads you want to add that will be in substantial bowls/jars. I included dried cranberries and fig jam for this board. They both fell under the colour scheme I was aiming for, so it worked out perfect.
Once your bowls and jars are placed on the board, add some cheeses! I stuck with white cheeses - again for the colour scheme. I included brie, as well as some cubed mozzerella. It adds a nice touch when you bring in cheeses of different shapes! Next up are the meats. I added sliced salami to this board. If you're only dealing with one type of meat - try placing them differently. I stacked some in the middle of the board, as well as piled some in the corner to switch it up! Now it's time for the crackers and breads. I typically like to add in at least a couple different options. I sliced a baguette for a thicker and softer option, but also included some thin, crunchier crackers. Assortment is key!
Now, don't stress if your board is looking a little scarce. It probably looks like it's missing something - which it is! Grapes are an amazing finishing touch. They can fill in all of the empty holes of your board to create a super full and complete look. I added in purple grapes to stick with my colour scheme, but green grapes are amazing for summer-y charcuterie!
And there ya have it! The perfect fall-themed charcuterie board. Not only does it look pretty - but it's delicious. Your guests will be blown away this Thanksgiving weekend! Be sure to send me pictures of your charcuterie creations and tag me on Instagram - @missmaddieireland.
Can't wait to see!
